Called to assist with vessel reported adrift off Fremington Quay. Vessel aground on a mud bank
with 2 persons aboard. Helicopter rescue 169 attended and the vessel was towed off by Appledore boarding boat. Casualties
ashore safe and well.

Called to assist with vessel reported adrift in the River Taw with 2 persons aboard. Vessel
recovered to Instow Quay by Appledore ILB. 2 crew safe and well.
4. 24th February 1430 - 1452 UTC
Called to assist Westward Ho! coastguard with a search for a missing person. Casualty found
safe and well and stood down prior to leaving station.
5. 22nd March 1000 - 1100 UTC
Requested to collect 2 red flares from a private address in Instow.
6. 14th April 1157 - 1255 UTC
Man reported stuck in mud at Barnstaple. Carried out investigation but nothing found.
7. 26th April 0829 - 1029 UTC
Swansea MRCC requested that an investigation be made along Instow Beach, after a derelict vessel
was reported as a navigation hazard. 12ft cruiser discovered aground near RM instow slipway. This derelict already known to
HM Coastguard.
8. 4th June 2141 - 2307 UTC
Devon and Cornwall Police requested assistance with a search for a missing RIB on the River
Torridge between Torrington and Iron Bridge. Rescue helicopter 169 from Chivenor was tasked to carry out an FLIR sweep
of the river. The four occupants of the RIB were found safe and well in a local pub.
9. 6th June 1807 - 1839 UTC
Six people reported as cut off by the tide at Penhill point on the River Taw. Three adults
and three children found safe and well on the river bank after wading ashore. Safety advice regarding the River Taw and
local tides was given. Appledore boarding boat attended.
10. 16th June 1607 - 1618 UTC
Jet ski reported in difficulty off Yelland in the river Taw. The skier was towed ashore by Appledore
ILB and details were taken by Croyde Coastguard units. Instow team stood down at station.
11. 17th July 1900 - 1930 UTC
Two windsurfers reported in trouble off Yelland. The team made their way from their exercise
area at Fremington Quay and on arrival discovered the two windsurfers were ashore safe and well and returning to their vehicle
at Instow.
12. 25th July 0832 - 0905 UTC
A member of the public reported 4 people possibly cut off on a sandbank off Instow Beach. On
arrival the first informant reported that the 4 people had made their way ashore towards Appledore. Nothing was visible from
the beach and Appledore Lifeboat station were also unable to see anyone in the river. Returned to station after conducting
a sweep with binoculars.

Called to assist Croyde Coastguard units with the evacuation to shore of a female crew member
from a yacht moored at Castle Quay in Barnstaple.
14. 14th September 0813 - 0925 UTC
Called to assist Westward Ho! Coastguard in investigating a bag containing clothing discovered
at Graysands Point. No-one was found and no persons were reported missing. No further action was taken.
15. 30th September 1635 - 1808 UTC
Called to investigate a report of a speedboat aground on a sandbank 500m from the New Bridge.
Found a vesel hard aground with 3 POB. Further assistance was refused and crew members monitored the vessel until it was refloated
and in no further danger.
16. 14th November 02:41 to 06:56 UTC
Called to man the helicopter landing pad at NDDH. Coasstguard rescue helicopter from Solent
secfor inbound with a medical emergency.
17. 14th November 15:31 to 16:29 UTC
Man reported collapsed on Instow beach near to the Commodore hotel. Casualty located but found
to be intoxicated. The casualty refused assistance and the Police were called to assist with the situation.
